The first team to win three rounds wins.

Attackers must find 2 hostages and transport them to the rescue point or protect them - each hostage is worth 100 points. Operators have low health, limited HUD elements, and friendly fire is on. These elements are consistent across all game modes that support Tier 1 variants.

UPDATE: The Tier 1 playlist will go live when Modern Warfare II Season 01 kicks off.

Third person mode. Get a new perspective on our list of third-person games for Modern Warfare II. In this mode, the camera is set up behind your operator's shoulder. This gives you more perspective on your overall environment in exchange for a smaller depth of field in front of you. This is great for seeing your operator in action, and gives it a different feel than the standard first-person view.

Modern Warfare II has two map types: core maps and battle maps. These maps are classified into one of three categories. Al Mazrah, Las Almas, and other parts of the world.

Al Mazra. Maps in this category are based on the location of Al Mazrah, a metropolitan area and its suburbs within the Republic of Adal, serving as the main area of the Call of Duty®. The main regions of WarzoneTM 2.0. Some of the core maps and battle maps will be based on locations from this region, making multiplayer the best mode to familiarize yourself with its points of interest and positions of power.

Las Almas. A key region in the Modern Warfare II campaign, Las Almas is a Mesoamerican region that will feature various core and battle maps.

rest of the world. The last category of maps takes place outside of Al Mazrah and Las Almas and provides a look at what's happening in other parts of the world.

The core map supports traditional 6V6 games, while the battle map supports up to 32V32.

Modern Warfare II innovates on the Perk system, introducing Perk packs, which are equipped as part of multiplayer gear.

Each package consists of four benefits: two base benefits plus one bonus benefit and one ultimate benefit. Operators start each game with their two base perks, helping unlock bonuses and ultimate perks faster over time through eliminations and assists, plus goals and tactical play. The more active you are in the game, the sooner you'll have full stacks of the four perks.

The perks you will see at launch and their original effects (which may change after launch) are as follows.

overkill. Carries two primary weapons.

Double time. Doubles the duration of tactical sprints. Crouch movement speed increased by 30%.

Battle hardened. Reduces the effect of enemy flashes, stuns, EMPs, gas grenades, and concussion rods. Immune to Snap Grenade

bird's eye view. Zoom in on the minimap. You can see the direction of the enemy with UAV and radar. ON-EARN. Perform a single local UAV strafing.

Also, if you level up to Rank 4, you can create your own park.

Field upgrades are valuable tools that offer a variety of strategic advantages. Field Upgrades are charged during a match and can charge faster or slower depending on their usefulness and power.

At Rank 45, you'll be able to equip two Field Upgrades, but each will charge slower.

Tactical Camera A remote control camera that marks enemies. Connected directly or installed alone, it emits an audible warning when nearby enemies are detected.

Inflatable Decoy: Proximity activated decoy mine. When activated, the decoy rapidly deploys to confuse and distract enemy operators. Also, by manually activating it, you can trick the enemy into attacking.

DDoS DDoS attacks disable electronics and confuse enemy sensors in the immediate area for a short period of time. Strong in objective mode, where a large number of field upgrades are placed in critical zones.

Deployable Cover: A portable, quick-deploy ballistic cover When you're stranded in an area with nothing to hide, this shield might save your life. Great for open areas or when you have a heavy weapon like an LMG and need precision shooting.

trophy system. A deployable autonomous defense system that destroys up to 3 equipment and projectiles. It's a savior at targets and indoors where a lot of grenades are flying from the opening. It can also be mounted on a vehicle and used as a deterrent to rockets and the like.

Dead Silence Temporarily silences footsteps. You can kill with guns, melee attacks, and throwing knives, with lasting effects.

ammo box. Deploy crates with ammo and gear for yourself and your teammates. Ideally in a safe area so squad members can resupply. But in a pinch when you're short on ammo or gear, it can come in handy in any scenario.

Loadout Drop: Summon a limited-purpose loadout crate on a team-by-team basis. Can only be used once per player. Great for swapping loadouts midway through, adding primary weapons without spending basic perks for overkills, or being kind to your Operator. Best used in ground battles where the operator is expected to live a long time and switch roles as the situation demands.

mobile radar. Increased usefulness on narrow maps and objective game modes where critical zones can be tracked even with limited radar range. The synergistic effect with the bird's eye view ultimate park is also high.

tactical insert. It is effective on ground battle maps where the deployable area is far from the destination, and on other maps that impact the enemy from behind. Note that tactical injection does not work in one life mode.

Battle Rage: An experimental stimulant that gives the operator a rush of adrenaline. Health regenerates quickly, tactical equipment is immune, and tactical speed is constantly refreshed.

Recon Drone Remotely controlled drone with manual and automatic marking capabilities. The perfect tool for operators with good communication skills.

Smoke airdrop. Call forth a line of drones to deploy a wall of smoke at your target location. It's a sniper's nightmare unless you can see through the smoke wall.

suppression mine. A trip mine that emits a constant sound wave when triggered that obscures the enemy's vision and slows their movement. Demonstrates its power around targets, in long corridors, and in infantry-only mode.

Anti-armor round. Grants weapon ammo that deals bonus damage against armored targets. This includes targets behind vehicles, equipment, body armor, and penetrable cover. Great compatibility with medium and long range large caliber weapons such as Battle Rifles, LMGs and Sniper Rifles.

In multiplayer, apart from your loadout, you can pick up to three killstreaks to join your match, each requiring a certain amount of streak eliminations to deploy.

If you drop out, your killstreak will return to zero. Additionally, Modern Warfare II also allows you to use a streak system, allowing you to use earned scores instead of kills to track your progress. Again, dropping out resets your streak progress to zero.

You can only select one streak, or only streaks within the same category (with the same number of eliminations or points required).

UAV: When activated, it flies over the playable space and displays enemy positions on the minimap for all squad members every few seconds until it needs to refuel. After that, stop looking at the enemy's position and quickly fly away.

Bomb Drone A remote-controlled drone equipped with a C4 charge. After activation, you can fly anywhere within the playable area. The C4 can be manually detonated, but it can also be detonated automatically when it runs out of fuel, is hit, or lands on water.

Bomb drones are most effective against close groups or as a deterrent near their destination. In addition, it can be used as an information gathering tool because it can summon enemies that come into view with the mounted camera.

Counter UAV: A drone that scrambles all enemy minimaps. As its name suggests, it is a drone that is a direct competitor to information display tools that use UAVs and minimaps. Like a UAV, it can fly over the playable area and shoot down during flight time.
